DP8 memory MAXED at start up
After installing DP8 I am noticing my memory reading is slamming into full red and this before i record a single note. I was crashing at start up of DP8 or getting a warning my memory was running low. I read here on MOTUNATION that it may be Kontakt player (i am at V3) so i deleted Kontakt from my plug in list which stopped the crashes at start up but the memory pinning into the red hasn't changed at all. DP7.24 IS WORKING PERFECT with Kontakt.. I guess if i up dated Kontakt this may do the trick? I only need Kontakt for SSD (which i hardly use ) but I still would like it in my start up template ..Any suggestion are welcome.

You might check your pre load buffers in audio preferences.

Re: DP8 memory MAXED at start up
As already stated on this board, memory is displayed in DP8 32 bit only.
AFAICT, the memory display tells: How much memory is *allowed* to DP8, not how much is *actually used* by DP8.

Re: DP8 memory MAXED at start up
I also regularly see spikes indicated in 64 bit meters, but not in the OS Activity Monitor. This is not new in DP and I've seen it in earlier versions as well. I just shut off the warning message and ignore the little red lights...

Re: DP8 memory MAXED at start up
Myself and others on here have just turned it off in preferences. It doesn't seem to reflect what's actually happening in the system.

I use the Activity monitor meters - turned off DP's meters. No issues so far.jamesdunlopmusic wrote:Myself and others on here have just turned it off in preferences. It doesn't seem to reflect what's actually happening in the system.
I think a calibration is in order MOTU for next update?
