Having to ditch DP8
I can't work unless the left right keyboard arrows can move the movie by frames. That's how I add markers to calculate a tempo to hit cuts. Anyone got a workaround.....
Re: Having to ditch DP8
Assign the arrow keys to 'step frame forward/backward' in the Commands window.

Re: Having to ditch DP8
I've just been to the commands window & scrolled down to movies.
selected 'step frame forward' selected 'key1' which went white & then clicked the arrow key on the keyboard. This threw up a dialogue box that said 'the keystroke is already assigned to the functions listed below. Do you want to make this additional assignment anyway?' & in the box it says 'The 'Nudge Right' command in the 'More Edit' group.
So what do i do?
TIA brolly

Re: Having to ditch DP8
Up to you.
1. Say yes. The keys will advance frames or nudge events depending on which window or pane is active, and what is selected.
2. Say no, and choose a different set of keys to advance frames.
Either way, you will benefit from reading Chapter 8 of the manual. It's only 3 pages and if you are not familiar with how to set up and use commands you're missing a lot of what you can do with DP.
