Any updates coming up?

Post by sklathill »

So I finally decided to buy MOTU SI. For the most part I'm happy except...

Ranges and loops.

Ranges...well, looks like no playing around with Rite of Spring, if you know what I mean. :)

Loops; I've been hearing some messed up loops around the instrument. Not a lot, but even one is more than enough. The worst for me was the violins 1 sus on C#5 and D5. Very noticeable (I just happened to have a piece that has a long sustain on the D there...:(). It's a really nice and usable piece of work, but...

I hope an update comes out soon!

Oh...and you better know that harpsichords aren't supposed to use pedal. DON'T BE TEMPTED. I just crashed hard experimenting with using pedal with the grand and French harpsichord patches.

Yep - according to the motu website, version 1.1 is due out with added disk streaming and multiple outputs.
It will be free to all of us!

Disk streaming is great to know! (Man, I wish AES was in Cali right now instead of New York.) I hope they also fix some of those loops in the update too... :)
