Looks like there are good reviews. I downloaded the 10 day trial and am slapping it on a mix I am working on now.

I noticed the 32bit limitation as well.
In a long thread on GS from January-NAMM time they said they are working on 64bit,no estimated eta though.

I read a bunch of reviews to get a feel for the thing, then slapped it on the master bus of a vocal / orchestral / Celine Dion / Titanic type song I am finishing a mix on and I have to say that this song sounds better with it on, bar none. And I am using a TC MD3 / SS FGX chain for this particular mix for mastering, so to better a mix using these heavy hitters...well...I am impressed. I have my order in.

This bothers me a little.. when DP8 arrives, I'm really going to begin the push for 64 bit in ernest. The less plugs and instruments I have to wait on, the faster I'll get there.

I watched the demo though, and I have to admit, I'm pretty impressed.. hmmm, I'm on the fence with this one.
DP8.01 on 12 Core Mac Pro, Puma Concolor 10.8.3, 24GB RAM / VE Pro connection to VI slave (Mac Pro 2.8 GHz. 8-core 32GB RAM). RME MADI to SSL Alphalink to SSL Matrix. UAD Quad. Outboard stuff collecting dust. A Shure SM57 (which will outlast the rest of it).

It's absolutely killer. Highly recommended, both for compression and for 'color'.

I took to it right away. Whoever put this plug together knows their stuff when it comes to compressors.

Greg aka UBK is a very interesting Engineer who was originally a drummer, he loves analog,dirt-grime and all sorts of delicious mangling to add to the sonic soup etc...
He's a very bright,capable,funny and quite a character.
We have a mutual friend and we met once and got to hang out for an evening.
Greg's very passionate about what he's doing.

Yeah, there's been some leaks about this for awhile, but it still took people by surprise as Greg has focused mostly on hardware, and is especially well known for his modular approach to active monitor control switching.

I've been afraid to read much about this plug or any other recent compressor or EQ releases, as it seems like I probably already have too many of each. :-)

Will be interesting to see if this one has its own mojo going.

Really tempting and not a bad price. Has anyone emailed asking about 64 bit in future?
