What platform? Mac or PC?

Are we talking recording software or restoration software? DP is great recording software but has very limited noise reduction. I don't know where you might find that but I think Logic Pro (if you're on a Mac) has some noise reduction. If you're on a PC I don't know the answer.

Restoration software such as Sound Soap has a record feature and I'd go with that for sure. The light version might be OK, but for fine tuning your work the pro version runs about $600 last time I checked.

There are less expansive such as Izotope Music & Speech Cleaner (with record function) but compared to Sound Soap, it would be like using a sledge hammer instead of a scalpel.

Steinberg's Wavelab works for both platforms, and I've heard good things about it.
Mac Mini Server i7 2.66 GHs/16 GB RAM / OSX 10.14 / DP 9.52
Tascam DM-24, MOTU Track 16, all Spectrasonics' stuff,
Vienna Instruments SUPER PACKAGE, Waves Mercury, slaved iMac and Mac Minis running VEP 7, etc.

I would get a linear DAW for PC that'll support Waves Version 9 Plugins?

There's list of supported DAWs at Waves website (version 9 requires your own Thumb Drive to be mounted or their plugin will not instantiate. You are going to clean up the mono files right? Burn them from a track? That's pretty much common now with DP and other DAW software.

iTunes to convert to MP-4 or wave-lossless. Personally I have compared MP-4 to lossless and the hi-end + room ambience is still there in wave lossless or Apple lossless only 3x size of MP-4.

Also there is a VST plugin you can buy to edit wave meta-data directly or broadcast wave for 78 catalogue number, artist, composer, arranger, band name. I have some Al Jolson DECCA 78 Acetates and there's a lot of info on the label (they sold with just a plain vanilla cover as you know).

DL DVD +R media is cheap. DVD -R is cheap. CD-R media is cheap. But you want at minimum Verbatim Media or Tayo Yuden. Both are considered archival quality manufacturers of Optical Media (Do not burn DL +R on -R and Verbatim is you only option Yayo Yuden doesn't make it (yet) search under JVC.

You can tell if it is genuine Tayo Yuden as it has a threaded center spindle. They don't make a Dual layer +R media (yet). Only single layer DVD -R or CD-R.

Do you have a good hot CD-R burner like Plextor or Yamaha? These are (were) sold in a case with a fan as they produce a lot of heat.

Years ago Gold Media from Ampex was sold as Quantegy Gold. But the trend now is Tayo Yuden which is still made in Japan. HP occasionally resells, repackages Tayo Yuden under HP brand, so look for HP media with a threaded center spindle (not the twist on cap that is common).
