Wow! Very cool, Dan! This is exactly what I hoped people would do in this section of the board. I did edit your subject header to put "DP: " at the beginning to make it easier to find. If we get more of these, we'll look at organizing a different way! Thanks again! :woohoo:

Hey Dan...

Great video!
I'm astounded to see that the simple command cannot be assigned to a keystroke.
Have you mentioned this to MOTU?
Seems like an essential feature.

I'm still searching for a solution to my "click in the window and play" wish.
All is well

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate the kind words and I'm happy to hear it might be helpful to some.

James, I really appreciated your easy-to-follow and thorough instructions on how to embed a clip here. You couldn't have made it any simpler and I was relieved to find out how easy it is. Great job implementing all of this.

I found out you can double-click on a soundbite with the I-Beam tool and it will load its boundaries into the selection. I did not know that. Very cool.

Yes... another one of Dan's videos is missing also. I'm waiting to hear from him if indeed he pulled them. I know this section of the board hasn't been updated in a while. I've made the posting syntax much easier. Just copy the Video ID from YouTube, paste in a message, select the ID, then click the "YouTube" BB Code button at the top right of the message editor. That's it. The video window will default to 560x315

I've had zero problems with the forum in recent days. Years, actually. Well, except for the occasional squirmish with the natives, of course. But on the whole, while things do escalate, they also remain somewhat civil. I think name calling should be one of those forum rules: you don't do it! Whether it's "fanboy" or any other pronoun converting someone's persona into something else of someone else's choosing, it should be banned. If you don't go there, things can remain quite civil, however passionate. :)
