How much to charge for live recording
I have a decent protible multitrack Daw, (20ins) pre amps, compressors, mic ect. I'm already signed up to record some shows but am having a hard time estimating a price. Any thoughts on how to figure a rate?

You need some help?
This is a question really for you to answer.
It totally depends on the quality, efforts required, hours spent, support seconds and equipment.
If you have several setup second engineers or security requirments.
If you own a truck with console and monitors.
If you have to supply a high quality splitter or double mic everything.
If you have rf communications with your support staff.
Many questions abound.
The real pro companies charge 3 to 4 grand a night but they have all I have mentiond and at leat 3 support persons and for big shows more.
Then again if it's just for fun in someones bar well.....?
