DP4 and ADR

Post by rspeiser »

One of the biggest problems in ADR is getting the ambiance right (victim yells "No!" in small, tiled bathroom...). Anybody know of any plugins specifically designed to help with this?

Thanks.

I don't know that ther is a plugin for ADR specifically but many of the great reverbs out there as discussed in other threads will work great for that application. The TC megaVerb [we run it in TDM mode in DP] works fine for such a thing, and thger are some presets there that get you started.

something like Altiverb will get you the effect you want...but it ain't cheap.

Convolution reverbs allow you to record/sample a space by recording the way if affects a known sound source and then lets you apply it to the soundbites of your choice...
