Installed here and working flawlessly......... opened a 300 track project I am working on and everything sounded great except a little distortion on track 247.......I don't think it's motus fault though ...

Ha! Could be an option, Adrian. If this attempt resets itself as did the last, I feel I may have one more go left in me. Mind you, I'm already half nodding off if I don't move enough.

C'mon MOTU! Yooo can dooo iiiit!

Must... keep... moving...
This is freakin pathetic. I could ride my bicycle from Texas to you with a CDR. I have a special affinity for you MM. Still, I have to tell you, I downloaded the thing in less than 30 sec. from the line that is smaller than a human hair that goes right up to my house. It's almost as fast as a f@#**in hard drive!

I will eat a banana tonight in your honor. By the time you get it downloaded, I will have set it up, realized it sucked, and gone back to 7.21 and finished a song. Or two.

Just sayin.

Yeah, that's it, Dwetster. I love how Canadians come with built-in, transparent censorship. Must be how you guys keep your country a step behind in terms of "uncleanliness".

Speaking of cleanliness... Magilla, you might want to make sure you wash that mayo off of your hands before you eat. Then again, you might not want to. Just sayin' is all. :?

ROTFL! Brilliant, Killa!

The whole ordeal was something of a little pantomime, but fun nevertheless.

word of advise, "Stop Posting!" You're impeding your own bandwidth, sucka.
Ha! Great call, PM.

It was all about context and relativity:
In the scheme of the second 16-odd hour download, the paltry number of update posts amounted to, well, nothing. I simply squeezed them in at the beginning of each 4 hour session before resumption of the DL. On the other hand, sharing my anticipation with my beloved 'Cornies helped me keep my head. I got to the point where I couldn't focus on anything.

I'm starting another PV thread, this time one of praise for MOTU; I want them to see it. :D

Just got around to installing 7.22 on my Mac Pro. Lightning fast installation,
no hang ups. Opened some older very large projects, no problems at all. Very
smooth.

Re: DP 7.22 released

My first experience with 7.22 revealed that the levels are a wee bit hotter, so anything that was dipping into the red is dipping a little more, which resulted in more noticeable distortion in my monitors. I confirmed this by going back and forth between 7.22 and 7.12 a couple of times with the same project. The distortion was more transparent (and thus the levels are lower) in 7.12 (and in 7.21, which I also tried).

Yeah, yeah... my faders shouldn't be running into the red anyways... but it is so easy to get them into the red and to put off dealing with adjusting the entire mix. I'm probably not the only one with projects that lack healthy headroom. The fact that the levels are hotter might necessitate making some immediate adjustments before you continue working in 7.22. It would for me anyway... but that could be a blessing in disguise since I will ultimately need to address this issue in some of my projects no matter which version of DP I work in. But isn't 64-bit going to buy us some more headroom?

Also... all of the connections for the routing of different VI outputs in my V-Rack were lost, resulting in tracks that were silent and necessitated a reassignment the channel outputs in the V-Rack. For anyone with big projects and a lot of VI ouput assignments in a V-Rack, this could be troublesome. It would be great if some other V-Rack users could confirm this behavior.

I know everyone wants to hear that things are snappier, but so far the speed of opening up a project seems pretty much identical on my system. Others experiences may differ.

I forgot I did the upgrade, as I had no problems and everything was so fast!

Anyway, now I'm remembering to post back here that 7.22 gets a thumbs-up.
