due to a dodgy installer disk and a rather slow response from MOTU (yes i know - moan moan) i have had to wait about 6 weeks for a new UVI Beat Box Anthology installer to arrive. took another mind bending exercise to install it ...
BUT
its working now and i must say it is fanstastic !!!
its is the holy grail of old school beatboxes.
amazing sound quality!
so there you go.
well done MOTU, well done BPM, well done UVI.
merry christmas!

Yeah, I really like it. Got some bad early reviews because of how the drum kits where assembled but they fixed that with the BPM 1.5 content. Quality sounds for sure.
Re: UVI Beat Box Anthology is FANTASTIC!
yeah i had to email UVI to ask where the patterns and loops were (if anyone's reading this and doesn't know you click the 'star' section under kit/pattern/loop etc in BPM browser and select Beat Box Anthology) but when i found out how to access it all properly it was fine.
doesn't come with a manual for some reason - you can get it off the UVI site here http://www.uvisoundsource.com/drums-and ... ucts_id/53
its not essential but it does have pictures and some info about all the drum machines they sampled so if you like that sort of thing, as i do, then its an essential! don't know why its not on the installer.
nearly all the samples sound great. the only one that stands out as sounding a bit lame is the roland CR-8000 (called the R8000 in bpm i think). sounds like they got a slightly dodgy machine! i've had two of these and what they have is not so good. but nevermind, the rest sound excellent.
