It sounded like a Preferences thing. I'm glad it worked out for you. Thanks to everyone for telling their experiences regarding this; I never saw it, but now I can be aware of what's happening if it ever strikes my system.tamara wrote:Thanks guys.
I also got a response from MOTU.
Please quit DP and go to Mac HD > Users > Your Account (home icon) > Library > Preferences > Digital Performer. Temporarily move this folder to your desktop and launch DP 7.11.
This has fixed the problem.

Funny, I encountered this problem and fixed it by disabling the DLSsoftsynth. I forgot how I disabled it and even forget how I came to figure it out, but trust me, it nuked the problem I was having. Don't look for the DLSsoftsynth extension, it's embedded in the DP app. There's another way to disable it from inside the program, a way that I don't remember now. Sorry.

Setup->Interapplication MIDI-> disable "software syntesizer" checkbox.
Finally I could get rid of this problem.
