Can DPs Quickscribe "Transcription Engine" be turned off?
I am notating a solo classical guitar piece via DP and Quickscribe but am finding that DPs transcription engine is not properly understanding held notes and rests etc. For example, if there is 3 part counterpoint, Quickscribe's transcription engine is misunderstanding some of my intent. Is there a function where one can disable the automatic note durations? Also - can I manually add rests?

Go to the Quickscribe mini-menu > Options > Score Options and try disabling the "Ignore mistakes" option or changing the values. Not sure if that will resolve what you're seeing, but it's a start.
"I don't see any method at all, sir."

Whole rests are added by default when a measure is empty (doesn't contain any note data), though you can turn this behavior off in the Score Options dialog.
When working in Arranged Score view, however, you can use DP's "Playback Only" and "Display Only" features to control which notes are shown/hidden from view. This allows notes in the timeline to playback without showing them in the actual score (and vise versa).

Thanks - I appreciate these suggestions and thoughts. No luck yet but I will keep working. Also, is there a way to add a fermata to a score?
Re: Can DPs Quickscribe "Transcription Engine" be turned off
It appears that Quickscribe is only capable of 2 independent parts per staff. The manual say that it can handle "multiple voices" but after much time and experimenting with this, I can only get Quickscribe to recognize two voices per staff. (In the classical guitar piece that I am working on, there are many sections where 3 part counterpoint exists so hence my problem). In addition - within the two voices per staff which Quickscribe can indeed follow, the voices must be more than 1 octave apart. I know that Quickscribe is not supposed to repalce Finale but maybe in a future update there will be options for overriding the transcription engine.
