Hi everyone,
I think it could be useful to share my exeprience here.
I bought Ethno 2 to use the VST plugin in Magix Music Maker 17 Premium, with Windows7 64 bits. So I installed the 64bits version of Ethno 2.
But for some reason, MMM17 could never recognize the Ethno VST.dll file, whatever i do (change directory, paste the DLL in another directory...).
However, Ethno 2 has always worked well as a standalone application.
Here's what I did to get the Ethno 2 instruments in MMM17, after many other different tries.
1 - Download and install the Uvi Workstation 32 bits for Windows (v. 1.1.7)
2 - Paste the Ethno.ufs files in the "ProgramFiles x84\Uvisoundbanks" directory.
3 - Under MMM17, choose the "ProgramFiles x84\Steinberg\VSTplugins" directory for VST.
That's all. The VST Uviworkstation appears in the available VSTs and can read the beautiful Ethno instruments.
Hope this could help a bit.
Maybe it could work with the Ethno2 32 bits version, but for some weird reason the installation process of the 32bit version got troubles with an infected dll file (svp_float.dll) ...

Sounds like your issue is that you are trying to use a 64 bit VST dll in a 32 bit DAW host. A 32 bit DAW won't read 64 bit plugs without using a bridge.
