Hello...
I've been able to connect things to Analogs 1-8, Spdif 1-2, Aes 1-2, and Toslink 1-2 and record, but I have yet to see Adat 1-8 available in any of my recording software. Currently, the optical in/out is set to Adat, that's the only way I could get the Spdif in working. Cuemix shows all 8 inputs, it's just the recording software doesn't.

Re: How To Record From Adat In
I'm using Adobe Audition and Kristal Audio Engine, although I didn't think it was a software issue, which is wasn't.
For some reason, I had to set Optical Out to None and as soon as I did that, I the Adat ins appeared. I would not have thought about doing that, except I read that if you're not using it to disable it to conserve firewire throughput.

Your optical I/O can either be set to Toslink or ADAT, but not both.
