VI's for live performance?

Post by jquesta »

I realize the answer to my question is as wide ranging as there are people who play music, but I'm interested to know what most live performers are using for VI's within DP. What do you consider the essential instruments you find yourself using more than others? Also include the type of music you're playing.

BTW - I searched the board for other similar questions but didn't come up with anything. If this has already been addressed, please point me to the thread.

Thanks very much. :)
If your not living on the edge, your taking up too much room...

DP 7.12, MacBook Pro 2.4 Gig Intel Dual Core, OS 10.5.8, 4 Gig Ram, PreSonus FirePod, MTP-AV USB.

I use Reason, as often as possible, for its unmatched stability and low cpu usage. This makes me confident in live situations.

For sure, not a one size fits all, anyway.

I mainly use VIs when I'm involved in dramatic shows.
Many people rely on me then. When it's time to play something, I have no second chance. The show must go on !

Reason Rewired in DP has been my main live set for years now.

I play GPO wind sounds sometimes within Aria. But this one behaves like a real cpu hog.
