FYI: MOTU posted an update for the Custom '59 amp plug in, including new power amp models.

Thanks for the tip Bob.

Not only DP 7.02 is the most stable, reliable and fun version I've worked with in a long time but now MOTU is improving plug-ins between software updates. WOW!

Maybe the Scrooge story is indeed a true one...
Thanks Santa!

Wow, I would never have thought to check for updates to individual plug-ins vs. overall DP updates -- that's a first, isn't it?

I'm installing the update as I write this. I tried out Live Room G (which is also part of this guitar plug-in update) the other day and was blown away -- it sounds a lot like Softube's Vintage Amp Room to my ears, only fuller and more natural. Similar characteristics though.

It's not like I was thinking about checking for plug-in updates; MOTU put the announcement on the main page of their web site.

I've read good things about those Softube plugs, so it's nice to hear that MOTU's Live Room G compares favorably. Please let us know what you think of the update, mh.

I did the update as I was nodding off, so didn't have the energy to try it yet, but was surprised last week when I was successfully able to use the previous rev on my ancient computer.

The comparison to Softube is from memory, as I didn't save any of the renderings (save maybe one) that I did with those plugs (including PoCo version) during my eval period earlier on.

I don't have much luck with Flash-oriented sites, and it is a disease that is spreading exponentially through the internet right now (unfortunately). I'm surprised to hear the update was on the front page, as all I get on the front page is a confusing bi-way switch with Flash crap. So I navigated directly to the Updates link and logged in.
