Ethno a no-show in DP 6
by tonester » Mon Sep 15, 2008 8:13 am
Hi:
New to the Mac side of things. Been a long time Sonar user. Just installed my DP6, and all of my instruments (Dimension Pro, EZ Drummer, MOTU's MSI) are recognized except Ethno. I am able to run it in standalone mode. If this is of any consequence, both my iLok licenses reside on one dongle.
Any clues?
Thanks...........
Anthony

It's working here in DP 6.01 on a PPC G5 with Leopard 10.5.4.
Make sure that it is properly installed in the MAS plugins folder.
kind regards
Stephen

OK. I give up. I un, and re, installed Ethno. This time did a custom install with MAS, AU and RTAS checked (in case someday i use PT), but it still doesn't show up in DP 6.01's instrument menu. Where is the MAS plug-ins folder located? Maybe I can navigate to that to see if it's there?
Thanks

2 possible locations
(your main HD)>Library>Audio>Plugins>MAS or Components
or
(your username)>Library>Audio>Plugins>MAS or Components
or try doing a search for
MOTU Ethno Instrument.bundle
MOTU Ethno Instrument.component
Make sure it is v1.01
best of luck!!

I found the references to Ethno in the locations where you told me to look. I'm at version 1.00, though. Maybe that's the rub..........
I'll give that a shot.
Thanks
