I have a brand new Mac Pro 2.66, 2 gigs of ram, DP 5.12.
On files with lots of tracks and/or plugins, if I click rewind while the song is playing, the system will just start spooling. It doesnt crash (I can hit force quit). Anyone else having this issue?
Is anyone else experiencing freezes when trying to rewind?

First, I'd update to 5.13. Many people have found 5.12 to be a very unstable version. 2nd, yes, I've had the problem, too, but it is not permanent. I'm suspecting that it has something to do with a particular VI -- perhaps MOTU Symphonic Instrument, MachFive2, or... I really don't know for sure. But I have not experienced it in several weeks now. It only lasted about a week, and then it was gone. That doesn't mean it won't return, but it does mean that there is probably a certain combination of things that lead to the problem. Hopefully we can track it down and get MOTU to fix it.

Be sure to upgrade Mach5v2 too. There has been a couple of .x-releases...chlorinedream wrote: thanks i'll give 5.13 a try. i do have Mach Five 2 installed so that could be a cause
