Up until today I was absolutely sure that I'd buy a Delta 1010 but I just stumbled across a resonably priced used MOTU 2408 Mk II + PCI 324 set-up. Would that be a good alternative instead of the Delta 1010? I figure that Motu is a little more "pro" than M-audio. Am I right?
Is Motu "compatible" with my computer set-up:
Case: Compucase 19" rack.
M/B: MSI P35 Platinum
CPU: Core2Quad Q6600 2,4GHz
RAM: 2 GB 6400 800MHz
GFX: Club 3D HD 2600 Pro Passive
HD: 3 x Seagate SATA2 16MB 320GB (D1: Dualboot OS XP + XP64/D2: Streaming DFHS+Vienna Symphonic/D3: Audio)
Dual 19" or singel 22" TFT-monitor
Is there any known problems with this Motu set-up that I should consider?
From what I've read here and in other forums I guess the 324 is not an option with my set-up.
But if I go with the 2408Mk2 and ditch the 324 and buy a new 424 PCI-expresscard, would that be a better way? Would that work? Is the Mk2 better than the delta 1010 soundwise? Samplerate-, bitrate- and latencywise I mean...
Thanks in advance...
2408 Mk2 + 424 PCIe for my new Q6600 Quadcore XP64/XP home
