I've just acquired an 828mkII to add to my rig. I have an 896HD with an Octopre connected by light pipe. The Octopre has been the master so far.
Last night I seemed to have things more or less set up right, with a word clock cable going to the 828 from the 896. However, I am perplexed about how to have everything showing up in DP. DP shows 8 analog ins. Well, I should now have 16 analog ins, shouldn't I?
How do multiple Motu interfaces show up in DP? What's the proper way to approach it?

multiple interfaces are addressable in Tiger, not panther, unless it's a MOTU 424 based system
Dual G5 1.8, 10.4.8, 3GB RAM, SSL X-Logic 24 channel ADDA feeding RME card., MIDI Xpress, Liquid Mix, analog summing (Studer 902).

While I still haven't solved all of my word clock issues, I can assure you that DP 4.5 in Panther can handle multiple interfaces. I now have an 896, and 828 and an Octopre all showing up in DP. Now I'm working at syncing everything with a second hand Digital Timepiece (no manual, but cheap).

I solved my word clock issues, so I now I can say unequivocably that Panther can handle two interfaces (896 and 828) and a third unit (Octopre) with no problem. Other than the problem of spending a few hours figuring it out.

How did you get them to show up? I'd like to use the light pipe in on my G5 at the same time as my 896.
