Hi. My name's Vinnie, and you can find examples of my music at the link below. All tracks were done using Digital Performer at some point in the equation. The only different tracks were from my old and now defunct band, the Ashes of Grisum. Bad name, but the music was great. In those cases, we tracked to ADAT, then dumped the ADAT tracks to DP, edited there, overdubs were made if necessary, and then dumped back to ADAT before going into a studio with an SSL console, and Pro Tools. A number of long steps, I know, but it was a good result.

Yo, drvinnie!

Welcome to da 'Nation, man.
Hope you get to learn as well as have some fun. :D

I love the vibes and variety of your stuff. Great atmospheres.
Some tunes are quite moving, too, like Juggling and Job.

OK, so I'm downloading them s-l-o-w-l-y with my pathetic connection.
Another day (2 so far) and I'll be done.
I'll holla when I've got the lot.

Oh, yeah, two or three songs wouldn't download.
Safari said "files don't exist". Did you remove them?

Yo, Vinnie.

'Been listenin' all night.
Great stuff, man.

Just wanted to say that the female singer sounds just (I mean exactly) like Unwoman, a Unicorn buddy of mine.
She's a talented gal. Original in her thinking too; I like her.

Still downloading...

Hey, drvinnie.

'Been listening to the 12 songs I could download.

I like and admire the variety.
Imaginative soundscapes.
Your song constructions show maturity and good sense.
I like the unique-sounding male vocals (I've already commented on the female vox).
The mixing etc. works for me, too.

What can I say? It's all good, man.

Thank you everybody!

I'm finally coming out of that weird "If a tree falls in the middle of the woods..." phase I've been in for the past year or so. Since I've moved from Tampa, Florida to St. Louis, Missouri. Now that I'm starting to get acclimated to the new surroundings it's time to start writing again, so I look forward to presenting more tracks everyone's way!

Only got a chance to listen to a couple of bits, but what I heard was cool. I'll give it a more serious listen when time permits. Welcome aboard.

For me, it was all about the variety, Phil.
This takes skill, hard work and sensitivity, as you'd appreciate.

Gah! Your production skills are superlative. For something with much clarity and power, I really like how your mixes are loaded from top to bottom with as much sound as possible. Its like a giant layer of sound.

Don't know you do it (and am quiet envious because of it) but keep rocking man. :)

I like the work a lot, but the bass/perc/drums seems to be invading.
It don't let space enough for the synths, melody.
My 2 cents

Actually, Melenko, that's a very good point. It's always a balance I try to get right, but I may fall down on it due to the whole "Loudness War" issue or some such. Some of my favorite artists (Hybrid, BT etc. etc.) seem to do such a great job of balancing the rhythm with the melodic aspects of their music. It's a growing experience. Thank you for the 2 cents, and not being afraid to say it.
