512 10.4.10 superior and multiple outs
have tried every thing to get multiple outputs to show in bundles, i just installed superior custom and vintage after updating osx, have not found many posts with others with same problem although there are a few.
message sent to toontrack support
i cannot get multiple ouputs to show up in bundles, followed the qt
video, searched forums, nothing has seemed to work. trashed pref,
reinstall DP and toontrack, accept for sound banks. when i add mono
drummer only 1 output shows up.
response
Hi - what you describe is typical of a project lacking valid output
bundles. Have you checked that these correspond to the physical outputs
of your sound card?
any help greatly appreciated thanks,
gridgital

thanks saxmaster
ive done this, the problem is the outputs dont show up in bundles for instruments. just 1 mono or stereo depending on whats loaded. in turn if i load a model 12 instrument the output busses show in bundle. im doing a complete reinstall, could not get uninstallers at site to open after downloading several times. im wondering if this may have to do with osx update 10.4.10
thanks for response

Re: thanks saxmaster
I have EZDRUMMER and you use Aux Tracks to accomplish this. Am pretty sure yr product works the same way.gridgital wrote:the problem is the outputs dont show up in bundles for instruments
I am doing this from memory as my music computer is far away from me.
Instantiate superior.
Instantiate an Aux track and set the imput to whatever you want out of superior, and the output to whatever out you want on your sound interface.
Hope this helps. There was a long thread on this a while ago if I can track it down I will.

I found that thread -- I apologize in advance if I misunderstanding your problem.

I found some more video on the toontrack site that references multichannel out:
http://www.toontrack.com/videos.asp
There is one on that page called EZDRUMMER from a songwriter's perspective --
about middle way in he shows the intenal mixer. discusses multichannel, and then shows aux tracks in logic w the different drum sounds. It isn't detailed but it makes me think that this is how you set it up.
Mind you this is pure speculation based on the pretty sketchy demo that demoboy is giving in logic -- I hope it helps, if it doesn't don't get pissed at me.
-- in ezdrummer set the internal mixer track you want to multichannel
-- in dp, create a new aux track.
-- set the input of that track to the ezdrummer track (ie SNARE) you want to feed that aux track.
-- set outputs of the aux track to your main audio outs.
-- create as many aux tracks as you need for ezdrummer outs. Rinse and repeat
-- you will see these aux tracks in the dp mix window.
DP MANUAL --
AUX TRACKS 185 - 186
AUX TRACKS 709 - 710

I can vouch for the fact that monkeying around is by definition limited.gridgital wrote:... hope i wont have to monkey around with it for another 48 hours or more

I see the problem, gridgital, but have no solution, I'm afraid.
When you create the aux tracks as instructed, the output options for DFHS simply aren't in the list of input choices you're presented with, no?
I'd also have thought you'd need the appropriate bundles in order to have these as options.
Strange one, indeed.

is the instrument track you're adding dfhs to set to a valid output pair? can you see the dfhs gui at all if you double click it in the instrument track?
i've never had trouble like this (unless it was the above), but i don't have c&v, either...

DFH CV is broken in OS 10.4.10, I contacted TT about this and got the usual useless response.
for me, the audio bundles never remember the assignments to DFH, IOW.
Whenever I open a project with it the Multi outs are all diconnected and have to be reassigned.
This only started with the 10.4.10 update.
