How much for a ringtone?

Somebody asked me for a ringtone in a certain style, and I would have to offer just that. How much would YOU charge them for the license?

That is a hard question to answer; I can only give my 2 cents worth. It would depend upon the value of the song, how wide the distribution is and you time••™s value to produce it. Is it your music or are you copying some one else••™s music would affect the license as to who actually owns it.

It••™s one of my original songs and it••™s been already recorded years ago. It••™s going to be part of a internet/mobil service-providers CI or campaign. I would get performance royaltys, Germany••™s GEMA handles my releases.
