I love good quotes and just thought I'd share one I heard this morning in a piece about the life of composer Gian Carlo Menotti that aired today on CBS's "Sunday Morning".

The quote is attributed to Menotti and I think I got this right...

You can't invent a melody, you have to find it.

I found it interesting and worth a little bit of Sunday thought and muse.
