Install Error - HELP

[Abstractapproach]

I'm trying to install MOTU MSI.

I copied the msi.dat file to the root C:\.

I ran the installer from the disk. I checked Complete install, and proceeded to the install section. It loads the progress bar, which starts across the screen, but eventually stops, and I get an error message saying nothing but "installation unsucessful".

The install log is in it's folder, and reads as follows (this time I tried selecting only DXI, but it still didn't work):

Setup was unsuccessful.

So it found my .Dat file, but then crashed. Any ideas? I'm going to try installing it on my tablet, but I really need to use it on this machine.

My target host application, while I don't think it matters, is Cakewalk Home Studio 2004, which works with any other DXI stuff.
