Unisyn compatible with Tiger?

Post by Jim »

Unisyn exits while launching on my 10.4.6 system with all the latest MOTU MIDI drivers installed... I've re-installed Unisyn, repaired Permissions, ran all the ONYX routines, and ran Disk Warrior. Still no love.

I haven't used Unisyn much since I wasted $100 on the OSX upgrade, but at least it used to launch under Panther and Jaguar.

Any ideas?

I run it (mostly) successfully on 10.4.8. Try trashing your Unisyn prefs. If that doesn't work, re-install your MIDI devices.

Thank you for trying to help, but that does not work for me. Unisyn still exits, but not before creating a new pref file.

Are you using the "My Keyword Guesses" file? That function makes me crash every time. Wish I could be more help.

I don't know. I'm not familiar with that term. I searched all volumes for "my keyword guesses" and "mykeywordguesses" with no results... so I suppose not? Is that part of the Keychain? Or Unisyn?

Thanks again.

BTW, I don't know if this is relevant, but the only system hack I've installed is DashOnOff, which disables the Dashboard, and I have all security features off.

Yes, 2.1.1. Well, I suppose it's good to know that it's working for somebody! Gives me hope.

Here's a link to my Crash Reporter Log, if anybody can make sense of it:

Thanks.

The keyword guess file is created under the "search" function. The default filename is "my keyword guesses", but can be changed. Obviously though, you are not using this function. Please let us know if you fix your problem.
