Arturia are thrilled to announce the arrival of their very first dedicated effects plug-in: MiniFilter V.

A stunning emulation of the legendary ladder filter found in Dr Bob Moog’s classic 70s monosynth, MiniFilter V is an exciting, creative tool for musicians and producers.

In the season of giving, and to thank all Arturia fans both old and new for their support, for a limited time MiniFilter V will be available for free.

To get your copy, follow these easy steps:

1 - Head to https://www.arturia.com/arturia-festive-gift
2 - Register & download
3 - Install & enjoy!

We hope you love using it, and wish you and your loved ones all the best this festive season.

Got it to install on my rMBP. Everything went fine.

However, the user interface size is tiny and unreadable. Not sure if there's a setting to change the size, since the interface text is about this small Arturia MiniFilterV I wouldn't be able to find it.

This is so not what I was expecting, and I am thrilled to have a minimoog filter as its own plug-in!

Still downloading but all their older plug ins were updated to be resizable in percentage increments, couldn't imagine this was any different.

I'm excited, great gift, Filterscape by U-He is the only third party filter plug in I have, I've actually been thinking about purchasing one so! :)

There's an Arturia logo on the upper left, and second from the bottom is a screen size option, and then 200% is the last option in that submenu. That fixed it.

Weird. When I first opened it came up at 90% size and everything is easily readable, like 12 pt type.

It's a retina display so the resolution is considerably higher than standard. The UI size must be based on screen pixels (rather than L/W), which is why it will size so differently at different resolutions.

Thanks, Arturia. I'm looking forward to filtering guitar tracks with this.

Hmm, guitar tracks -- great idea!

The old unfinished album that I resurrected for completion recently, has some parts where I double guitar and synth, but now I think maybe I'll just parallelize it and run the second guitar track through the MiniFilter!

Funny I was doing that a few days ago with a modular (hardware filter). This Arturia one sounds good but I couldn't get the envelope follower to work at all with a guitar track. I'm guessing it needs a more percussive signal.

There was a demo video and I kept waiting for them to show off the envelope follower, but the video left it out. Let us know if you figure out how to make it go.

If it only had a sidechain input that could be the answer...
These free plug-ins... oy vey... c'mon Arturia!
I kid I kid. It's way cool. A free sequencer too- are you kiddin' me?

I'm going to mention this as a side track obvious to most...
It's easy to overlook VI's as effects sometimes.
Some of Arturia and Korg Lagacy plugs to name two
offer the FX sections as separate plugs
and they usually have some quirky character to them.
I often forget about those as I tend to think of them only as VI's.

Yes, I wish there was more documentation. Is this the video where the narrator pronounces "Moog" "Mewg" and keeps saying Minifilter "V" instead of "Five"?

It's a nice freebie, and I don't want to grouse too much, but I'm not thrilled withe the Arturia Software Center bundle. It reminds me of the NI stuff, and when I tried to change my email address in the registration it wouldn't let me, even though I changed it in my online account.
