Meh. I own and use Arturia's Analog Lab, and there's nothing here that piques my interest, not even for 99 bucks.

I did the upgrade (cheap), just because it covers a lot of unusual synths that aren't likely to be modeled anytime soon.

One thing that isn't clear to me is whether I need to keep the old .ufs file as well. As I already had the first version, I don't know whether the new file is "volume 2" (exclusive) or "rev 2" (inclusive).

Based on file size, I suspect I still need the old file as well and that the new file is "volume 2" vs. "rev 2". But I haven't had time to open them up simultaneously for a deep comparison in Falcon.

If anyone bought this as a new customer, let us know how many files are included. It wouldn't surprise me if they simply added a second volume, as MOTU Ethno v2 requires multiple files.

I have verified that the new UFS file subsumes all of the Version 1 content as well.

The reason the Version 2 UFS file is smaller, even though it has far more content, is that they went from uncompressed WAV to lossless compressed FLAC.

Note that the old material from V1 is greatly enhanced, with additional features, a better and more detailed GUI, and all of the new effects added to Falcon 1.2.
