Has anyone heard (or did I miss the memo? [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]) of any forthcoming improvements with these functions in the new DP due sometime soon?
I had a client yesterday that decided we needed to transpose all of the audio tracks down a half step except for the drums. He was very surprised that I couldn't do it within my DP 9.01. I showed him on a 4 bar soundbite as a demo how "artifacty" it was.
So I used an external app to transpose each contiguous soundbite and then imported those back into the project.
He said, "I can easily do that with Audacity." I said, "I know...I know."
Is it a licensing issue?
Just curious and thanks!

Re: Improved Pitch Transposition and Time Stretching Coming?
I don't know.
The IRCAM Tools are so nice for that. Besides being available separately, they're bundled in MachFive3 and a few other apps/plugins. Nowadays, having M53 I don't use others for that such as Melodyne 4 Studio, Nectar 2, PSP and a couple of others I own.
DPs is certainly "artifacty" as you put it.
