NextGen PreGen Three Days to Go!
NextGen PreGen, lower latency in buffers etc. by the end of the 2nd quarter according to their predictions!
OK OK realistically any software development deadline is a hypothetical deadline, a "this is what we're shooting for" thing, over a concrete fact. My guess is no way they come out in the next three days with this. So let the guessing begin.
Mid August seems like a legit amount of additional bug fixing and delays, but I'll be optimistic and say mid July.

Exclamations that are 100% reliable and are never wrong:
- The DP update will be out in three more days!
- Oh, it's an absolute fact; no delays possible!
- There's no place like home!
- Sure, it was good for me, too!
- It's not you, it's me!
- Why yes, of COURSE you look wonderful in that dress!
- Yes, even in the hips!
- Don't worry, sweetie; size doesn't matter!
- That fish was THIS LONG!
- 34D!
- Of COURSE not! She's just a friend!
- Of COURSE not! We just work late together 3 nights a week!
- All those bugs are fixed, and it'll be in the mail tomorrow!
- Officer, my speedometer must be broken, 'cause I was right on the dot!
- Check's in the mail!

For fun, what's your guess? I think they'll get it out this summer, maybe 3-4 weeks late so mid July.
Maybe by that time EastWest will get back to me about the registration codes not working for the copy of Symphonic Orchestra Platinum I bought directly from their european location.
IMO no phone support is a very very bad business model.

Re: NextGen PreGen Three Days to Go!
But seriously - I'm getting anxious. I usually keep "check for updates" turned off so as not to have DP phone home in the middle of something mission critical, but lately I've had it on. I eagerly await the arrival of that little pop-up. I know, it's sad. I'm such a gear slut.

Re: NextGen PreGen Three Days to Go!
I hear you. This thread is to relieve delayed anticipation anxiety. I realize being upset or demanding about a free update/upgrade to DP 9 when I paid for my upgrade without this feature being mentioned at all is patently ridiculous and I don't want to be this guy Louis CK is talking about here!Phil O wrote:But seriously - I'm getting anxious. …string theory says that all subatomic particles of the universe are nothing but musical notes. A, B-flat, C-sharp, correspond to electrons, neutrinos, quarks, and what have you. Therefore, physics is nothing but the laws of harmony of these strings. Chemistry is nothing but the melodies we can play on these strings. The universe is a symphony of strings and the mind of God… it is cosmic music resonating through 11 dimensional hyperspace.
