Re: Lords of Synth
Though slightly creeped out, I'm mostly LOL right now after that.

Re: Lords of Synth
by the way, I got the Vangelis and Wendy Carlos references, but who is being spoofed by Morgio Zoroger? I can almost remember someone, possibly Italian, but it's just out of reach. Anyone?
[Edit] Never mind. I remember. Giorgio Moroder.

Oh! the humanity.

Kind of liked it; not sure what's 'not safe for work' in this video though.cuttime wrote:I can't believe what I just saw. Slightly NSFW:

Re: Lords of Synth
I happen to work at SOC (Save Our Comets). If I pulled that video up at the office, my chances for promotion would immediately evaporate and my job would surely be in grave jeopardy.

Re: Lords of Synth
That's Shirley.
Re: Lords of Synth
Don't call me Shirley and that's the worst waste of time I've experienced in a while. I watched it to the end hoping it would get funny, but it didn't. That skit was really crap IMO. YMMV

Re: Lords of Synth
Apologies if I've wasted anyone's time. I thought a skit with a Moog System 55 and a Professor of MIDIology would play here better than most venues.

Don't feel bad; I loved it for the camp that it was. Anybody that can't laugh at that is taking life way too serious.cuttime wrote:Apologies if I've wasted anyone's time. I thought a skit with a Moog System 55 and a Professor of MIDIology would play here better than most venues.

Re: Lords of Synth
I thought it was funny. The bad production values are deliberate (and harder to reproduce than you'd think), and electronic musicians who take themselves "sooooo seriously" need a good ribbing.

I work at No More Comets, and even there, it would be just cause for dismissal.HCMarkus wrote:I happen to work at SOC (Save Our Comets). If I pulled that video up at the office, my chances for promotion would immediately evaporate and my job would surely be in grave jeopardy.

Check, check and check. At first, I thought of it as an opportunity missed but then wondered if it was better done, would it have been funnier?HCMarkus wrote:Poorly done. check.
