Hormel Chili Tapatalk ads

Post by frankf »

These Hormel Chili ads I see all the time in Tapatalk advertise "no beans". Dare I ask what's in them?

My affair with Tapatalk is over. It outlived its usefulness. Nothing I could do with it that I couldn't do in a browser window. They just kept making it worse. Deleted.

BTW, Hormel makes SPAM.

So that's where all the spam comes from. And who makes all those UK Kitchens?

But you can use Tapatalk in the SPAM museum.

I'm quite done with CrapaTalk. What used to be an awesome, clean, efficient app, is now just another invasive, commercial piece of junk. Constantly adding distracting things and commercials that hog up the screen (even though I paid for a "Pro" version that was supposed to be commercial-free). Well, at least for Android. Not sure about iPhone.

I only use it for this forum and go directly to UNREAD messages unless I'm looking for something special. Not seeing any ads, but once you go to the main screens, well, you know...

I bought it just for this forum. I really loved it. Now I'm just accessing the old-fashioned way, via a browser on my phone. It's not great, but it works.

I didn't buy it -- it was free. And I don't get any ads.

Looks like a new business model. Don't advertise to those who use free software. They don't have any money.

Even so, I don't use it that much, but I might start using it more. For some reason, my iStuff browsers refuse to auto logon to Motunation, but Tapatalk will. It's annoying to have to login on every access.

My preferred iOS browser is Mercury. Not perfect, but the best I've been able to find. Stay away from Atomic, as it hasn't been updated in about 4 years. Both of these were the only browsers I could find that would save a font size for a particular site, something that is very important to me with my bad eyes.

The ads are generated by Tapatalk. I need to check to see if I can opt out. Also, the auto login issue when using Safari and certain OSX browsers has plagued many phpBB boards. Firefox doesn't seem to have any problems with this, however, which is what I use.

FWIW, on my Mac auto log in is working 99% of the time. Tapatalk always logs in automatically and I never see ads if i go directly to this forum. I wish Tapatalk worked for Facebook.
