I won something cool

Post by Gravity Jim »

A MOTU T-shirt, to be precise. I wrote a winning MOTU Haiku and sent it in to tech_tips@motu.com, and they picked mine this week.

Its still going on. Check it out on MOTU's feeds on FB or Twitter.

I like it! James, I do remember a whole list of these... Maybe at MOTU.com. I'm sure yours was among them.

I promised them I'd post enough pictures of me wearing it that people would wonder if I had another shirt. Turns out you can buy these now, too. A recent addition to the MOTU store.

Yeah, I was stunned, too! I told them (as I'm sure may of you have) a year ago that they really needed to offer a cool shirt or two... they were probably the only MI company I knew that didn't!

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING A MOTU T-SHIRT:

Get one a size larger than usual. The shirt is 100% cotton, a very light, open weave, and shrank a full size after one washing. I'm giving it to a MOTU fan a little smaller than I. No pics 'cause I didn't even get to wear it.

So, if you wear a large, go XL.

You want to know how cool the MOTU guys are (as if you didn't already)?

They saw this thread (or one on FB where I offered to give the now-too-small shirt away, and did... but it was a seemingly cursed object and the Post Office punched a couple of holes through the envelope and the shirt)...

... and they sent me another one, one size larger! I only own two of those roadie-standard black shirts with white logos that I will actually wear... one for Egnater and now this one for MOTU. My longest standing professional relationship is with Mark Of The Unicorn... they are still the best.

So never let it be said that MOTU customer care doesn't rock. 'Cause it... that is to say, they... do. Thanks!
