fwiw I can't justify buying any new Slate products until they update FG-X to 64 bit, releasing new products before they update FG-X which was supposed to be done over a year ago just doesn't feel right to me.
Why is this is so much harder to update than any of other Slate products?
Steven keeps saying in the newsletters they are now hiring new programmers to get this done............
They obviously already have programmers working on new products,I wish they put a little more manpower towards products people already purchased.
I understand they want revenue from the newer products,I want an updated 64 bit FG-X then I will be happy to purchase VMR & possibly SSD 4 Platinum until then.................

I'm cutting them some slack to get FG/X done, because they seem to be revising the algorithms completely. It was a CPU hog, so anything they can do to cut back on its bit-gobbling will be fine with me. However, I do hope that in the process they do not lose the essence of what was FG/X. They're excited about the prototype; I'll wait and see.

Meanwhile, I'm with you about not buying anything new until I have what I bought. I just want it to work.

Yep, me too. I can cut them some slack but I'm not buying another rope until this one is mended.

Uh... I shouldn't have started that. It's still working okay here in 32 Lives, but gee it would be swell to not need to wrap it...

I don't think it will be much longer. I read Steven's updates and they are working hard on it. My guess is it will be by the end of this year.

VMR is good. My favorite Neve emulation. That will be my Neve EQ. The overdrive is the best to my ears. Like the VCA comp too.

Mac Studio M1 Ultra, 128GBs Unified memory, 4TB SSD.
Interfaces: MOTU M2 and 8A (2.1 and 5.1 setups).
DAWs: Digital Performer 11, Logic Pro, Cubase 12 Pro, Studio One Pro.
Sample Libraries: Primary - VSL (all), Spitfire, (mostly all), and many others.
External Controllers: Metagrid Pro and Studio Logic SL|MIXFACE
