Incorrect. The link I posted is for a time-limited deal through a site called Stack Social. It's for anyone - not a crossgrade price.

Wow Bob cool. I stand corrected. BTW I was able to redo the project and cut the CD. A few issues with plugs though. Cheers. GB

Glad to hear you got it working. Did you do physical CD or DDP fileset? Just curious.

You mean DDP?

Easy and fast (takes just a couple of minutes):

File > Export Audio CD Layout > Export Audio CD As DDP Files...

You can also then go back and burn a CD from the DDP files if you want to check 'em:

AudioCD > Burn AudioCD >Use DDP Files

I zip the folder of DDP files before uploading to the replication company. Some companies, like DiscMakers, have a file uploader built into their web site; others, like GrooveHouse (if I recall correctly), send you a link to a custom page at Hightail or other file sharing service. In either case, it's easy, and reasonably fast with my cable internet connection.

I've only done three or four projects with DDP files, but so far have had no problems at all. Hopefully I won't ever need to send a physical CD master again!

No - I've only done 44/16 masters for CD replication.

FWIW, I don't consider myself a true mastering engineer; I've just mastered some CD projects for colleagues, and they keep coming back because I don't mess things up! ;-)

Thats cool Bob. Most of my work certainly ends up there.

On other fronts, I'm NOT buying SoundBladeLE, SE or any other Mastering product BTW. Too expensive for the features offered and slow non=phone customer service. If though i can confirm why the Sonics converter processor sounds better to me when every other converter sounds the same, I might buy it at $260 bucks. I wish some pro mastering person would chime in with an explanation who have tried it.

I know that one. I've developed a small cottage industry rescuing old direct to cassette, Fostex and Tascam Port-Studio recordings, turning them into CD masters. All word of mouth. It's amazing what one can do with some old decks, a stand-alone Dolby B decoder (with calibration - found on eBay for $25!). I did the first to see what I could do with RX 2 and Ozone 3 (turns out quite a bit) and the referrals keep coming. I have since updated to RX 3 Advanced and Ozone 5 Advanced.

This would be worthy of announcing in a big way. DSP-Q is a good app, and for $49, you can't beat that anywhere.

A positive null test proves that the files are identical. If you get 100% cancellation when running to files 180° out of phase, then the files are identical and any difference you hear is the result of variances in human perception, which can certainly be enhanced by staying up all night listening for differences.

If you want to know if there is any physical difference between two audio files, a null test is the final answer.
