MOTU tech support....??

Post by drjazz930 »

Hi,

I purchased DP8 2 months ago, I've been dealing with crashes, and some other issues. I've put in 3 support requests over a month ago, as yet I have not received any response, is this normal? I live in Mexico and it's expensive to call from here.......what's your experience with support??

Thanks,
Edward

I've had quick responses from MOTU tech support, although there seem to be people who do not. Did you post your questions here? Maybe someone here will know the answers.

Did you post your problems here as well? I have usually had good experience with tech support but we might be able to help as well :)

I've got at least one case in where I've never even gotten a reply, and I've even updated to case with new information a few times.

Other cases, they've tried to help.

Yea. My experience has been mixed. In some cases, like recently, I've gotten very responsive help. In other cases, there's no response, slow response, or the answer isn't as helpful. I'm always quick to cut them slack, but it would be nice if they were flush enough to handle whatever volume of support is needed.

Another thing is the library of knowledge there seems like it hasn't been updated. Quite often I'll look up some issue that should have been long settled, but there isn't a tech page on it.

I keep expecting them to announce a new version instead of solving all of the problems.

Overall, great program, just needs a little TLC.

This a post of a general nature about MOTU company policies, etc. As such I'm moving it to the appropriate forum.
