TuneCore Weirdness

Post by wylie1 »

For some reason I can't get any sales reports passed June 5th.
I can see up to the 5th but when I click on the drop down calender it opens up and everything passed the 5th is disabled.
I sent and Email to support and got a auto reply with a case # but the message is almost 2 years old.
This is what I got from them on June 25/14 I'm hopping its nothing to worry about but I am a little concerned

I've also experienced some TuneCore weirdness.

I emailed them two days ago (Wed) to ask that my account NOT be automatically renewed each year.

I received a response the next day (Thurs) asking if I wanted the setting changed to 'disable auto-renewal' or 'do not renew', the latter of which would automatically delete my recordings. I wrote back and requested the former. But right after I sent that message, I got a reply from a different rep that was identical to the first message.

I replied to that one too, and also asked why they don't let the user change this setting in their account preferences.

I suspect the reason is that they want to put up obstacles to discourage folks from moving to another service, and if that's what they're doing, it's sleazy.

I sent a new request today.

The response I got from from support seamed like they didn't even read the question so I called in  I'm really not use to being talked down to but at any rate I was able to find out why the calender was greyed out pass a certain date.
If your familiar with a timeline graph as most people are.
Financials, stock reports, sales and so on.
It will show you activity by date if there is no activity on a particular date it will show 0.
The release where I noticed this was in March and there where sales until June 5th.
So the time line stopped and calender becomes disabled past the 5th they say until there is another sale.
Really the calender and timeline should continue and just show 0 sales.
The way it is now if the the calendar becomes disabled you are suppose to assume its because there are no sales I guess.
I can deal with it now that I know how it works but its not common practice as far as that type of graph goes.

I just got a reply from a second Email I sent on how they could improve the graph.
Maybe they'll fix it who knows.
