Preparing the Sable directory for the update was very tedious, taking about an hour altogether.

I now know why I didn't receive my update links, which is that I had to arrange a private invoice to pay as the release and time window all happened while I was out of the country and I didn't want to risk private information being entered at insecure internet cafes (not that I even found one during that three week extreme wilderness trek). So it probably didn't get recorded properly in their system (even though I did successfully receive earlier updates).

I have tried a few more times to correct the Mural updater without success; maybe if I buy Volume 2 it will correct itself for Volume 1 at the same time. I doubt I can afford it though, as it's well over $500 on a few days notice after I already dealt with the mega-crisis on 48 hours notice a few weeks back. The discount isn't that big compared to fluctuations in Sterling anyway. Maybe I can buy it later with a coupon from something else they release at some point. They never give actual discounts other than for reward incentives for purchases.

I tried to update my ticket on-line to mention how the Sable sale had gone back in JAN/FEB 2013, but my login doesn't work so it must be a different login. They use Twitter for this, and I don't use those social networking tools as I perceive those as for the impatient and obsessive compulsive since I can't see maintaining an attention span on anything if participating in tweets (I haven't even actively participated in Facebook for almost two years now). Not to mention that I'm not about to divulge personal stuff using such insecure technology.

Just wanted to say that Spitfire came through for me earlier this week, but I didn't have time to do anything about it until today as I'm working almost non-stop at the "day job".

Luckily the online directory layout snapshots I posted earlier helped me to properly prepare for the updates, and as I write this I am installing Mural Volume 2 (not that I could really afford it...) So now I have the updated Sable and Mural structures working properly.

Also, I and some time to play with these libraries today, and I would say Sable and Mural are now unquestioningly my favorite string libraries for almost anything I'd throw at them. I've always been partial to the British strings sound anyway. Somehow they've always seemed to have a softer edge to them, and I find it really easy to get fluid lines. Lots of articulations here!
