Post by FMiguelez »

Maestro Paco de Lucía, a legend, has died :(

The guitar and Flamenco worlds have lost a master. It happened Tuesday, here in Cancún.

Be thankful for his recordings. The musicians of old died without a trace of their actual performance preserved in any way other than verbal description. Still, it's sad to lose yet another one, and the trend continues. None of us, I'm sad to say, will survive this trend. So assess your mortality, live, and make music. Let those who go before us remind us how little time we really have, and to smile, laugh, celebrate, and make others happy with our music while we're here.

R.I.P. Paco de Lucía.
