Ok, now you've really got me confused. Just who isn't this cat, and why are we not seeing him?

Sorry, but in print or kinda looked that way. I run this forum because at the time I started it, I was the only person who stepped up to take it on. Most people are "too busy." That's how a simple rock and roller ended up in this situation. :)

...Yadda yadda yadda....
But if you go over to the Yadda yadda yadda user boards, they're bitching and moaning, "why can't it be more like DP?"

Can't please everybody.

Got a little bit too close to "political" with yadda-boarding and then Cuba mentioned. It's a joke with a political frame of reference. :(

From a fellow simple rock and roller thanx again for stepping up to take it on.
Being a Performer user since v.001 when talking to people in the music industry I get allot genuine interest, questions and curiously about DP I really don't see it going anywhere soon.

I suspect if this place wasn't here I might have moved to a different DAW. Come for the fun, stay for the app. LOL.

Another thing, social media and support? Okay, that's DPs STRONGEST selling point, IMO. Just look at the 'nation. About one post every 10 minutes or so, and pretty much all of them by industry pros and the like who know their ••••.

Wow, take a look at all those threads. Every single one is a crash/bug report or a newbie who can't figure out some simple task. And their post frequency isn't as much as here, even still. Even worse than I'm seeing on the Apple forum. Though, who knows, maybe today's just a really bad day for that forum.

Yes, troubleshooting is important, but you know what's even more important? Lots of threads on strategies and ways of better using the software once it's working. The 'nation provides that in spades. I see no evidence of that on the forum you showed me.

Well

I was just pointing out there other user based forums for logic...but of course you can turn that
Into a debate if you wish.
As for crashing ... I've crashed Dp , I've crashed logic... In either case, about the same frequency

Actually, that was not meant as a comment against Logic itself... frequency of complaints doesn't always correlate to the actual stability of the software, it was more a comment on the quality of the community repository.

I'd say that a fairly substantial amount of the content on the 'nation provides helpful tips and ideas on better using the program, or philosophical discussions about things in the industry. The number of bug reports or mindless "I can't do this!" posts, is pretty low in comparison. Also, any time anyone has a legitimate problem, there are a number of us veterans who are thrilled to jump to the challenge and help them out. Meanwhile, look at all the "0"s next to the replies on those Logic threads. I always hate forums like that, because you never know if you're just going to get ignored. I can't remember ever being ignored here, or seeing someone else ignored.

This is important stuff, folks.

Meanwhile, on the Mainstage forums, I've still not gotten any response about my duplicate output channel bug (definitely a bug, it crashes if I try to fix it). And on the Korg Legacy Collection forum, I have yet to get any answers as to why Legacy Cell keeps disabling itself upon reboot.

Maybe I'll ask those things here, I'm probably more likely to get an insightful answer!
