MIDI Life Crisis, Come Home! - RESOLVED

Post by Shooshie »

Hey Michael, I didn't want to resurrect the quasi-political thread upon which you took your leave from the forum, but why link your activities here with something so completely unrelated? Nobody is going to hold you to that original declaration. The political situation could last for a long time, and your absence from here does nothing to change it.

Come back and post here, my friend. Only if you want to, of course. Just don't feel like you've got to hold yourself to what started out as a passionate declaration of your disapproval for "things as they are." This is just the wrong place for that. Now, if MOTU had shut down, I'd understand your protestations! But this place needs your illustrations, if nothing else!
(and the rest of your rants and mutterings)

Lovely. I've got a Prius. It's amazing how much gear you can fit in it as well.

I had a 1993 Ford Ranger that served me well until 2007 when I bought a Civic. I can still fit a lot of crap in the Civic if I have to. Love both vehicles, as different as they are.

I just got a Prius myself, actually (an '05 with low mileage and in great condition). Coming from planet Camry, I'm amazed by how much stuff I can fit in it! My mother has a Subaru wagon, and this thing almost holds as much. For all the hype of trucks, when you come down to it, depending upon the items, wagons can actually haul more because you can stuff 'em... truck toppers aside.

I also have an 05 that I bought new....getting close to 190,000!

Yes, you put one section of the back seat down and mic stands slide in and out with no crinking. Much handier than a normal sedan, and the rear hatch helps the loading ease as well.

Being a relatively large individual, I was also pleasantly surprised at how roomy it feels and easy on the back for long distance travel. Just got back from a 2000 mile round trip to CA.

I will almost certainly buy another.

You won't believe how much the Prius V will hold. I held off buying a Prius because they were too small. The Prius V changed all that, so I got one last spring. I've never been so pleased with a car. My current tank is averaging 48 mpg, but I've been extra careful and have learned to balance the running modes for the best charging vs. running. My wife can rip through that mpg average in just one trip, but she's beginning to learn it, too. It gets competitive with all the info on the screen!

Anyway, if carrying stuff is important, you've got to take a look at the Prius V.
