Anyone know best way to convert Sonar projects to DP?

Post by mhschmieder »

My partner in crime in Moonlife just switched from Windows to Mac and needs to pick a new DAW. Obviously I recommended DP. :-)

Anyone know the best way to convert Sonar projects? He and I had trouble collaborating on the last album without my going to his place, and now he lives over 100 miles away. I told him to not worry about disc space (cheap these days) and zero and consolidate all his audio tracks, and maybe that's enough to have successful project export/import, either manually one track at a time or via the catch-all OMF interchange approach?

Is there a DAW better suited to such a task? He could always use a free/cheap version of another DAW to get legacy projects into a format that's easier to then get into DP, if necessary.
