Does Logic Pro Have It's Version of MOTUNation?
A friend just got Logic Pro X and I said I'd ask.
Is there a Logic forum that even comes close to MOTUNation?

Or Apple discussions but that is HEAVILY moderated and ANY negative comments about ANY Apple product is deleted and the posting parties warned and ultimately deleted and banned. And you will not get company folks and programmers jumping in or allowing posts with pictures, of chewing the fat about ANYTHING not technically Apple related.
So AFAIK the answer is a resounding:No. Nothing like Motunation for any other DAW that I am aware of. But then again, I have DP so I don't really need to be aware of it and frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn!

All that said, if it were ME I'd be at Apple Discussions. Serious questions usually get addressed accurately by knowledgeable folks and misinformation is promptly punished.
Re: Does Logic Pro Have It's Version of MOTUNation?
This forum for Logic is very good.
http://www.logic-users-group.com/forums ... y.php?f=60
It is not as active as Motunation, but it's civil and has a number of very helpful experts and pros, including Eli Krantzberg who regularly dispenses advice of the quality found in his DP tutorials. You'll recognize quite a few of the user names there from here. Run by Orren Merton.

Haha! That's amusing. I can only surmise that the name is influenced by this site, as this site was first called UnicorNation, and even I can't remember exactly when it started, but early 90s sometime.corbo-billy wrote:http://logic-nation.com/forum/

It's still not going to make me start using Logic for anything other than converting files for use in DP.

Re: Does Logic Pro Have It's Version of MOTUNation?
During the dark days of DP6, I actually tried to wrap my head around Logic. I just couldn't. It's perfect, I'm sure for some people. Alas, I'm not one of them.

Re: Does Logic Pro Have It's Version of MOTUNation?
I've looked before and have not found any.
In fact, Motunation is just plain unique in the DAW universe.
I go in and out of using DP heavily/regularly, but I always come to this forum (and just about everyday). The breadth of the discussion and the quality of the advice/insights about music making are unlike other places. It is consistently intelligent, thoughtful, and I always learn something.
The StudioOne forum is about the closest to this place that I have seen. The Cubase forum doesn't come close. The community at R**per is pretty tight. But there is something unique anout this place and the folks who inhabit it.
Just so no one mistakes me for a fanboy: it's not perfect and sometimes it can be a bit chauvinistic / defensive when it comes to DP (but IT IS a DP forum after all).
I wish LOGIC had a place like this. I'll check out those links. Thanks.

I've set up a cot on the composing section.
