Need a REALLY simple single-channel interface

My TV station is moving to a new building, and both producers will now be working in the same room, so I'd like to share one vocal booth, instead of uselessly having two in the same room. The catch is that I need to split it to two different computers, each with a USB interface. Now, we have some nice broadcast-quality channel strips, so I'd much rather use one of those than any built-in to a basic USB interface. So all I need is to buy two single-channel interfaces, with no preamps or even level adjustments, since we'd do that on the preamp itself. Since I only work with macs at home, and commonly a laptop, I've mostly dealt with Firewire and USB, but these are stationary towers with lots of PCI slots to spare, so a card would be fine. What are some people's suggestions?

Also, what is the quality of a standard soundcard line-in ADC? I'm guessing it's pretty bad, and also unbalanced, but I have no idea... are built-in ADCs pretty good these days?
