Been working with 9.1 for a couple days now, gotta say, loving the performance gains! One bummer for us post guys, OMF AAF still problematic, I still have to rely on Pro Tools for accurate import and conversions. Why?

I second that!

It's still impossible to import and export from Premiere.

Maybe some day???

Maybe not, but I hope that is not the case.

Yup, Premiere is the biggest culprit, Avid too, I've not had any clean OMF imports since Final Cut Pro 7.

I bought X2Pro, which was supposed to be an app that would make things possible, but after a whole bunch of tries and communication with the company, we could not get it working.

Motu really needs to either fix this or stop advertising it as a feature.

Hopefully the former.

I have used X2Pro and it has worked well for me, however, most sessions are coming in from Premiere to us these days. So far the only solution for me with Premire OMFs has been Pro Tools.

Complaints of the omf/aaf issue have been falling on deaf ears for years. I make my living doing post production and would have bailed on Pro Tools years ago if MOTU would make it reliable. Haven't upgraded DP since 7.24 and don't intend to until the omf/aaf issue is solved.

I have been talking with MOTU about this. AAF and OMF are completely broken in DP 9.1. The same AAF/OMF files open fine in Nuendo 7. Support is passing this onto development. I made it clear that this is a serious problem for DP. It makes collaborating with users of other DAWs very difficult, whether post, composing, or music production.

Judging by the dormancy of this thread, I guess there's been no development on the omf issue.

But whoa 9.5 look at all that pitch shift... granted a long neglected feature as well. So how bout a 9.51 that fixes OMF /AAF!?!?!?
