Streamer length in beats/ bars

Post by jangrenner »

Hello forum,

Is it possible in DP 9 to set the streamer length to the MIDI grid instead of the fixed time options in seconds?
E.g. creating a streamer that takes exactly one bar to cross the screen?

I have read here in the forum, that it seems however possible to achieve exactly that in a pre-roll streamer, if I recall correctly?

My work-around solution would be to at least create punches in the conductor track in sync with the beats, one or two bars ahead of the hit. I'd be nice if it was possible to span the streamer length across a bar or two in the conductor track by simply dragging.

I wonder why they kept the industry standard of yore (streamer length measured in number of frames - 4 or 8 ) and not updated it to the MIDI grid, where the streamer length would vary with varying MIDI tempo.
