Hi,
I have used to do an OMF-export from FCP7, open in DP8 and bounce a mixdown for the locked cut so far. Now that we have to work simulatiously while the editor is still working while we are doing the music and onlocation-sound mixing I tried to figure out the XML-roundtrip as described in the manual (p57-p64). In short: I can not get a single clip to be handed round at all.
The FCP7 timeline is 1920x1080 25p ProRes HQ and the source material is from a BMD hyperdeck shuttle (ProRes HQ). I always get the error mesages and no audio is passed over. If I set the same movie-clip as video in dp8 everthing works fine. I´ve tried mono, stereo, dualmono audioclips in 16/24/32floating-point bitrate but it is always the same result.
Does anyone use the XML-roundtrip with FCP7?
Thankfull for any idea to solve the problem,
lu

Re: FCP7 XML interchange trouble
Something I am very interested in, though I wanted to use it with Avid. As it doesn't export it directly. I am looking for a tool to convert AAF to XML...
