DP8 - strange movie display problem? not resolved in 8.01

Same Problem here: MacPro Tower from 2007 (3 GHZ 2xquad-core) with no problem when using DP7, but also with this ugly green and uncomplete picture when using (even really small) movies in DP 8.01!

Well as you can see from my original post, the problem only exists for DP8, Quicktime and DP7 seem to run just fine

I have the "HD express" - Box from Motu to give out the video signal to HDMI. As i know, the HD Express works only with DP8, but not with DP7. So if i work in DP7, i have no Video out to my HDMI-Monitor, and with DP8 i have the movie in a absolute not useable quality.

To buy a new graphic card would not be a big problem. Also not to increase the RAM,
BUT....
will it work???

I think, we need better, more detailed "system requirements" from Motu!

I'm having problems running video with DP8 too. Running any video at all in DP8, not only makes DP8 dramatically slow, it makes ALL my MacPro's graphics unusably slow. Even running a small movie turns my entire system to sludge. I don't know if its a graphics-RAM issue or if there's compatibility issue with my NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT. Either way I hope MOTU optimizes the new video engine in a future update.

I'm guessing its the video card in the machines. I have a newer MacPro with a ATI Radeon HD 5770 with 1GB of GDDR5 memory and have had 0 issues with video playback in DP 8 with loads of VIs and tracks.

And now i have a lot of crashes with DP8 and the error report told about problems with the driver of the graphic card (!).
Maybe the problem could'nt be solved with an DP-Update, but then it would be nice, if Motu tells us a little bit more specific, what works and what wouldn't....

Now im thinking about buying a new macbook pro. Does anybody knows, - will it work with HD-Express? Enough grafic power? Enough Ram?
