UVI Falcon == MachFive?

Post by jduesenb »

I received an offer from UVI for a "new" software synth called Falcon ($349.00, on sale for $249). This is obviously a souped-up version of MachFive3. Falcon has some nice new features. It seems odd to me that UVI is offering a product that competes with a different
version of software they themselves created!

What is the future of MachFive3? Will it get an upgrade that includes the new features of Falcon? Or is it now a dead-end product?

This is kind of a disappointing development. I hope that the synergy between MOTU and UVI will continue, but I also hope I will be able to get a "Falcon" upgrade for MachFive3 at a reasonable price.

Does anyone have info about this? I sent inquiries to both MOTU and UVI, but got no response.
