M5 Periodically Spikes in Volume!
Hi, I am new here and quick search could not solve my problem.
I am using M5 to build sample expansion packs for the UVI Workstation. However, periodically, M5 will play a sample back at 10x the volume! Nearly blows my ears and speakers away!
This is on Win7, Pro Tools 12.1, Lenovo Z570, i7, 8 gigs of ram.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem? I have already cleared out my PT Prefs.
Thanks! I am new to M5 but have read the manual from front to back so I am familiar with the interface.

For anyone else who runs into this problem, I have solved it.
It was a simple as dragging the samples in from M5 instead of Windows Explorer!
If I drag samples in from Windows explorer I get MASSIVE volume spikes. If I drag samples directly from the M5 browser, it works perfectly.
Strange, but in case anyone else runs into this, that is what will solve it

Why would you drag samples from Explorer in the first place?

It is easier to navigate. I could leave M5 with the selected part and simply drag the correct samples in. I am dealing with thousands of clips and it made it much faster.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:Why would you drag samples from Explorer in the first place?
Now I know I can't do that!

I guess I don't know PCs well enough to understand. On Macs we drag from the desktop or other audio apps, not a browser.

Explorer is the Windows equivalent of finder on Mac.MIDI Life Crisis wrote:I guess I don't know PCs well enough to understand. On Macs we drag from the desktop or other audio apps, not a browser.
So I would navigate to the folder that contained the samples through Windows. That is what caused the problem.
